Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture
Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture is located in western Xinjiang, northwest China, bordering Kazakhstan, Russia, Mongolia and other countries. It has a border of 2,000 kilometers long. It owns eight national first class ports such as Khorgas, Bakhtu, Jeminay, etc.. Khorgas in the biggist road crossings of the northenwest of the country. Ili, in the history was an important cross in the North Road of the ancient Silk Road while it, at present, is still an assignable connection between the mailand of China and the Middle Asia.
Ghulja(Yining) City
Ghulja City is the capital of the Ili Kazak Autonomous Prefecture.It is the political, economical, cultural and transportation center of Ili River Valley. The city has in it more than 10.000 acres of orchard. When flowers are blooming and fruits are ripe, the area will exhale a charming aroma, thus, the city is known as the "Flower City."
Qapqal Xibe Autonomous County
Qapqal Xibe Autonomous County in Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture in northern Xinjiang, bordering Kazakhstan. It is the only autonomous county in China for the ethnic Xibe. In the county live about 20.000 Xibe people and the area is the place where the Xibe culture has been well conserved.
Altay prefecture
Altay prefecture is located in northern Xinjiang, bordering Kazakhstan, Russia and Mongolia.There are 36 ethnic groups live in this prefecture which has beautiful natural scenery. The most famous scenic spots are Kanas Lake, beaver Ulungur RiverNature Reserve, Fuhai scenic waterfront and so on.
